- Harriet Howze Jones edited and compiled “El Paso: A Centennial Portrait,” published by the Society. She was the wife of EPCHS President, H. Crampton Jones.
- Leon Metz, nationally known historian and writer. Headed Special Collections at UTEP. Had his own radio show. .
- Robert Kelly, retired Army Colonel, active volunteer with the El Paso Museum of History.
- William I. “Bill” Latham, El Paso Times editor and published author. He also served as curator at EPCHS.
- Patrick Rand, Partner with Carroll, Daueble, and Rand, architecture firm of El Paso.
- Paul Heisig, President of Elite Laundry Co., was elected the first President of EPCHS. As president,he led efforts to preserve the Old Mule Car.
- Richmond McCarty. In 1953 bought Gateway Prints Publishing. President of El Paso Christian Home for Girls. President of Downtown Kiwanis.
- Stephen W. Kent, Architect and was president of Intentional Monorail Corp. Coordinator for a proposed monorail system linking El Paso and Juarez in 1964. Served as chair of the Society’s Historical Contest Committee in 1968.

- Richard Crawford White, U.S. Congressman. and EPCHS president planned our first Hall of Honor Awards. Dr. Lawrence Lawson and James Wiley Magoffin were the first inductees in 1961.

- Joseph B. Leach had a thirty-eight-year teaching career in the English Department at UTEP after a career in the Military. During his term as EPCHS president, many acquisitions were received such as old rainspouts from the Amador historical home in Las Cruces. Other early donations included an 1826 document signed by members of the Coons Family, and the Spanish survey of the Land and Water Rights of the City of Concepcion, Chihuahua dated 1639.
- John B. Neff, descendent of early Texas settler and lawyer Thomas Beall (Beall School was named in his honor.) He owned Neff-Buckler, started by his father. One of the founders of the Sun Carnival. As EPCHS president many landmarks and plaques were placed on historical sites.
- Jim Fashing, former county administrator and motorcycle aficionado.
- Dr James Day a English Professor at UTEP along with Mary Dodson led the efforts to secure the gift of the house made by Jane. Two were EPCHS presidents.
- Tour of Homes was a concept developed by the society under President James Peak in 1977, Before that it hosted other kinds of tours of historic places in El Paso. The Tradition is continued by our participation in the Sunset Tour of Homes.
- James J. Crook, served on the board of El Paso Chamber of Commerce. Director for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. First vice president for Jaycee. One of the originators of the El Paso Museum of Southwestern History, a project of the El Paso County Historical Society.
- Fred Bailey succeeded Goetting as curator in 1974. When the El Paso Medical Society allowed EPCHS to use a locked room for storage they were able to take a good inventory of the society’s archival holdings for the first time. He had previously served as EPCHS President.

- Fred J. Morton, attorney who served as law clerk for Judge R.E. Thomason and as U.S. Commissioner.
- George Ross Borrett
- H Crampton Jones, born in Vancouver, Washington. Son of an Army Colonel and a classmate of Gen. John Pershing. Graduate of West Point. Served in the Pack Artillery Unit along with Pershing in the Punitive Expedition. Also a gunnery instructor. He was stationed at Fort Bliss, member of the 82nd Horse Artillery of 1st Calvary Division.
- Evan Haywood Antone, English Professor at UTEP and editor of the Texas Western Press. Authored three books about El Paso History.

- Frank Gorman, president of Gorman, Inc. President of El Paso Sun Bowl Association. Served on the Texas State Historical Commission. Director for the El Paso Chamber of Commerce and vice president of Historic Missions Restoration, Inc.
- Frank Feuille II, publisher of the El Paso Times. During years as EPCHS president, the Society was given the top national awards given by American Assn. of State and Local History. Also served as president of the board of the El Paso Museum of Art, the Ballet Performing Arts Center, the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, and the United Way of El Paso County.
- Hughes Butterworth, president of Land America Lawyers Title of El Paso. Considered pioneer in the Title industry in El Paso.
- Jack Vowell Jr., president of Vowell Construction Company and taught Political Science at UTEP. Served in the Texas State House from 1981 to 1994. “Wrote Politics at El Paso, 1850—1920” for his thesis for his master’s degree at UTEP aided by Jane Burges. During his years as EPCHS President, the founding of Juarez was celebrated and Also, the Butter field and Overland stage centennials were celebrated.
- Frank McKnight, manager of the El Paso District of Anderson, Clayton, and Co., an international cotton firm, from 1947 until 1969. Served as president of the Western Cotton Shippers Association. Was a presidential appointment to the United States Department of Agriculture. Served as the Department’s associate general sales manager and was secretary of the Commodity Credit Corporation.
- Carolyn Beck served as President of the El Paso Women’s Club, was a Agenda consultant for Steinmart and Earned a master ‘s degree in fashion merchandising from the New Mexico State University.
- Colbert Coldwell, Attorney and U.S. Commissioner. Elected El Paso County Judge in 1966. Grandson of Ballard Coldwell, judge.
- Barry Coleman, founded Coleman Pharmacy in 1966.
